One of Mayor Myers' proudest accomplishments is the Matthews Alive! Labor Day Festival.
- Mayor Myers is a founder of Matthews Alive! and has served on the Board of Directors since 1993.
- This is the #1 rated event for Matthews.
- Brings 150,000 people to our Town – mostly families.
- All funds raised go to local charities/nonprofit groups.
- Leon Levine is a past Grand Marshall of the parade.
